Our church recently held two informational forums concerning the changes made to the ordination standards of the PCUSA. We have divided those two presentations into four seminars for your reflection. The first seminar deals with what the changes are and how do they affect us as a church. The second seminar addresses how the Presbyterian Church came to a place that it would now affirm the ordination of those who are sexually active outside the bonds of monogamous, heterosexual marriage. The third seminar examines the specific Biblical texts that address the issue of homosexuality. The final seminar examines some of the general arguments that are used to try and justify the acceptance homosexuality. While our pastor is opposed to the recent changes he did seek to be accurate in stating the position of those who support gay ordination.  Click the links below to get the audio and written outlines for these seminars.
