Kid’s Club is an awesome midweek ministry for our children from age 4 to the fifth grade. We meet on Wednesday nights from 4:45 to 6:30 pm in our educational building. The focus of this ministry is three fold.

First, in Bible and catechism time your children will spend time with our pastor studying the Bible and learning and memorizing the children’s catechism questions. By learning the catechisms your child will encounter the basic rudiments of the Christian faith- creation, God, the Bible, sin, salvation, heaven and hell, the sacraments, prayer, the Ten Commandments, and the ministry of Jesus Christ. The catechisms function like a framework by which your child will be able to make sense out of the Bible as they grow older in life. There is a strong emphasis placed on memorizing them because we believe that what they are learning will go from the head into the heart as they grow in the faith. We also believe there is nothing more effective than the catechisms in combating the growing problem of Biblical illiteracy in the church. Your child will be blessed by this ministry.

Second, your children will also get to spend time with our two wonderful music leaders, Sarah and Brad, making a joyful noise to the Lord! During music time the kids will get to play different musical instruments such as drums, chimes, and bells. They will learn some basic music skills and how to work together in playing songs as a group. The goal of this aspect of Kid’s Club is to have fun, praise the Lord through song, and also to provide your children the opportunity to play what they are learning in our 11 am worship service from time to time.

Finally, our children share in a meal together. Families in our church volunteer to provide a simple meal and we close our evening by eating with one another. This is a wonderful and sacred time of fellowship for our kids and adults to be together at table.
